This page explains what personal information is collected, how it is used, and the rights you have over it. It covers both this website and therapy provided by Abi Akinsanya.

This website

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and includes no third-party tracking. Nothing you do here is recorded or shared. There is no contact form: the only ways to get in touch are by email or telephone, using the links provided.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP addresses) to serve pages and protect against abuse.

Getting in touch

If you email or telephone, the information you provide is used only to respond to your enquiry and, if you go on to work with me, to arrange and provide therapy. Enquiries that do not lead to therapy are deleted after RETENTION PERIOD.

Confidentiality

What you bring to therapy is confidential. Brief written notes are kept for each session, stored securely and separately from any information that identifies you. Notes are retained for RETENTION PERIOD in line with professional guidance, and then destroyed.

Confidentiality has limits. I may need to break it without your consent where there is a serious risk of harm to you or to another person, or where I am required to by law. Wherever possible I will discuss this with you first.

I take part in regular clinical supervision, as required by my professional body. Client work is discussed in supervision anonymously.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what information is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted where there is no overriding reason to keep it, and to object to how it is used. To make a request, contact me using the details below.

Abi Akinsanya Therapy is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ICO REGISTRATION NUMBER. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

Insurance and professional standards

I hold professional indemnity insurance with INSURER NAME and practise in accordance with the BABCP Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
